This suburb in the city has gorgeous homes and strong community feeling.  It is the product of developers in the 1880's who bought farmland, created Connecticut Avenue and developing the streetcar up to Montgomery County.  It was formally opened in 1907.  With condo buildings lining Connecticut avenue most options are single family homes of various sizes - bungalows, four squares, Tudors and Cape Cods.  There is an active citizens association, community center, playgrounds and ball fields.  The closest Metro station is in Friendship Heights - red line.
